That’s why I’m here to give you the inside scoop on our fleet at Off The Hook Boating and help you choose the ideal ride for your unforgettable experience. Our Powerboat Powerhouses: Speed, Agility, and Pure Fun!

When it comes to getting around on the water with excitement, our powerboats are where it’s at. Equipped with powerful engines, they offer the speed, agility, and versatility you need for a fantastic day. From zippy little numbers to spacious cruisers, we’ve got something for every activity and water condition. Let’s talk about a few of our favorites that you can rent from us:

Bowriders: Your Go-To for All-Around Good Times

The Ever-Popular Bowrider: Your First Love (and Often, Lasting Love). These are the darlings of our fleet for a reason! With their open bow seating, bowriders are built for socializing and soaking up the sun. They’re fantastic for waterskiing, wakeboarding, or tubing, giving you that adrenaline rush, but they’re just as perfect for a leisurely day cruise or pulling up to your favorite waterfront restaurant for dinner. Our bowriders offer a smooth, comfortable ride, making every outing feel luxurious.

Bowriders are undeniably the “gateway drug” of the boating world – and for good reason! Statistics show that a significant percentage of first-time boat owners choose a bowrider. Why? Their intuitive design and incredible versatility make them a perfect starting point. Fun fact: Did You Know? The bowrider design, with its forward seating, gained widespread popularity in the mid-20th century, a time when family recreation was booming. They were specifically engineered to maximize passenger comfort and socializing, a stark contrast to earlier, more utilitarian boat designs.

These boats are true multi-taskers. Want to get the kids off their screens and into the healthful sunshine? Prefer a more relaxed pace? They’re ideal for leisurely day cruising or making a grand entrance at your favorite waterfront restaurants. There’s nothing quite like arriving by boat to make you feel like a rock star. Stay out long enough, and you can grab cocktails and dinner, watching the sunset paint the water in fiery hues.

At Off The Hook Boating, our 21ft Chaparral Bowriders are renowned for their exceptional ride and premium features, making every outing feel luxurious. Chaparral boats are celebrated for their “Extended V-Plane” hull design, which provides a remarkably stable and smooth ride even in choppy conditions, allowing for more comfortable cruising and watersports. The Sea Ray Bowrider is a testament to accessible fun, providing a spacious and comfortable platform for all your adventures.
Bowriders truly excel at small-scale celebrations, comfortably accommodating groups of up to 8 people. Think of them as your floating living room!

Favorite Bowrider Activities (and a little extra flair):

  • Entertaining friends on a shoreline cruise: Did you know that some early bowriders even featured fold-down tables for onboard picnics?
  • Stopping at your favorite waterfront eatery: Arrive in style – no parking hassles required!
  • Fishing: While not dedicated fishing machines, many bowriders offer surprisingly effective platforms for casting a line. In fact, some models incorporate clever convertible seating that transforms into casting platforms.

Cruising & Entertaining Pontoons: The Ultimate Social Hub

There’s a reason pontoon boats are often called “party barges,” and it’s quite simple: with oodles of deck space, excellent stability, and variable furniture arrangements, you can have a pontoon that’s just as ideal for relaxing as it is for lively celebrations. The one difference—and what makes a pontoon boat even better—is that you’re afloat instead of on land, and you can take the party wherever you’d like! With tons of seating, they’re fantastic for parties of up to 13 people or so depending on totally weight!

If comfort and camaraderie are what you’re after, our cruising pontoons are perfect. They’re designed with spacious U-shaped and L-shaped seating areas, so everyone can be part of the conversation. Think of it as your floating living room, complete with a great sound system to set the mood for a day of cruising. There’s plenty of space to relax, enjoy lunch, and just soak in the good times.  a boat is docked next to a body of waterWith ample storage for your gear and easy-to-use swim ladders, getting on and off the water is a breeze.

Cool Fact: Early pontoon boats were often homemade affairs, using steel barrels for flotation! It wasn’t until the 1950s that standardized aluminum pontoons and recreational designs began to emerge, revolutionizing family boating. Their evolution from humble origins to luxurious “floating patios” is a testament to their inherent versatility.

For fishing, pontoons are amazingly stable and comfortable, holding large numbers of people and making an ideal fishing platform. The wide, flat deck provides unparalleled space for casting, reeling, and moving around.

Tritoon Fun Fact! The addition of a third pontoon (creating a “tritoon”) dramatically increases a boat’s stability, handling, and load-carrying capacity, often allowing for larger engines and higher speeds perfect for serious watersports.

Center Consoles: The Workhorse with a Secret Soft Side

Center console boats are undeniably a powerhouse in the marine world, and their popularity is skyrocketing. While most people immediately envision rugged fishing machines, today’s center consoles are incredibly diverse, often doing double-duty as fantastic family fun machines.Their design provides a stable and comfortable ride, even in choppier waters, making them excellent for family fun, pulling tow-toys, or exploring coastal areas. They offer plenty of space for everyone to move around and enjoy the day.

Unusual Fact: The “center console” design, while seemingly simple, is a masterclass in weight distribution and stability. By placing the helm centrally, designers minimize roll and pitch, ensuring a smoother, more comfortable ride, especially in choppy waters. This design originated largely from the demands of offshore fishing, where stability and maneuverability are paramount.

At its core, a center console is just that: a steering station on a console in the center of the boat, surrounded by open deck space or seating in the bow and stern. This open layout is incredibly versatile. It’s a given that you can use a center console for fishing; anglers are legendary for braving all sorts of conditions, and even small center console boats are usually designed to slice through waves, providing a safe, comfortable ride over long distances. Mid-sized or large center console boats carry the features and fuel capacity to venture far offshore where the big game swims.

Our Mako Center Console is a prime example of a boat built for serious angling, yet its spacious deck also welcomes family fun. Mako boats are famously “Built Like A Mako,” known for their rugged construction and deep-V hulls that deliver a legendary dry ride in rough seas.

But here’s the surprise: the open layout, smooth ride, and comfort level of a center console are equally ideal for taking a day-trip to a new port, or simply cruising to a quiet cove for a swim. Don’t let their fishing reputation fool you; they’re incredibly adept at family fun!

Many modern Mako Center Consoles incorporate innovative storage solutions, including insulated fish boxes that double as drink coolers, making them perfect for both your catch and your refreshments.

Personal Watercraft (PWCs): Unleash Your Inner Speed Demon!

If you’re looking for pure exhilaration, our PWCs (that’s what the pros call Jet Skis!) are ready to deliver! These nimble and super-fast vessels offer an exhilarating ride, letting you zip across the water and explore tighter waterways. They’re built for one or two passengers, providing an unmatched sense of freedom and excitement. While you won’t be hosting a party on one, they’re the ultimate “plus one” for any raft-up or beach day – everyone loves a spin on a PWC!
